Bradbury named Captain

31 May 2018

Enfield FC are pleased to announce that Ben Bradbury has been made Club Captain for the upcoming season.

Having taken the armband for the back end of last season, Ben played a pivotal role in the team moving quickly up the table away from danger, to finish very strongly as one of the form teams in the division over the last 2 months of the season, eventually finishing 9th.

Ben told us, " I'm very pleased to be staying at Enfield FC this upcoming season and obviously I'm honored to be made Club Captain. Having had a great second half to last season, if we keep the majority of last seasons squad together with the addition of a few new faces in key areas, there's no reason why we can't start the season well and have a positive season."

"I feel that this is the right place for me at this point in my career and I want use my experience to help the young players coming through as well as prove my worth as a player on the pitch. I've spoken to the management team and they share my enthusiasm that, although there is a lot of hard work to do, there is no reason that the upcoming season can't be a very successful one."

Assistant manager Terry Fogarty said, "We are delighted that Ben is going to be with us this season and has agreed to be Captain. Matt giving him the arm band last season was a real turning point for us and we feel that he in the right man to lead the players on the pitch. He has vast experience within the game and always gives his all. He is a very positive influence in the changing room and on the pitch. There is a good feel about the club at the moment and we can't wait to get pre season underway."
